Bite Window
The bass fishing forecast that hands you a plan

Fish like you've got a
local guide in the boat.

Tell us the lake, the species, and the day. Bite Window reads the solunar windows, the weather, the front, and the season — and writes you a plain-English game plan: where to start, what to throw, and when the bite fires. The lake, the species, the day → a plain-English plan: where to start, what to throw, and when the bite fires.

Reads the conditions like a local

The same six things a $400 guide reads — synthesized into one plan.

Solunar apps hand you a gauge. Weather apps hand you a number. Bite Window reads them together — the way an experienced angler does in their head — and tells you what it means for today. No blue tables. No guessing.

Coffee-money, not guide-money

A bass guide costs $400 a day. Most of that's the plan, not the boat.

You're paying a guide for judgment — where to start, what to throw, when to be on your best spot. Bite Window automates that judgment and hands it to you the night before, for about the price of a couple of crankbaits a month.

“Tell me what's in your box once.”
It fishes your tackle box

It only tells you to throw what you actually own.

You own 40 baits and tie on the wrong one. Tell Bite Window what's in your box once — it recommends from your gear and gives you the substitution when you don't have the perfect one. No “go buy this $25 bait.”

We don't replace Fishbrain. We do the part it doesn't.

Drove two hours to a lake I'd never fished. Followed the plan to the main-lake points and had a five-fish limit by 9. It read that front exactly right.

I've paid guides $450 for less. The 'no jig? throw a Texas craw' substitution is the kind of thing only a guide tells you.

Stopped buying baits I don't need. It works my actual box and tells me why. The on-water chat saved a dead morning when the wind switched.

Straight answers

Questions, answered like a guide would.

Solunar apps tell you when. Bite Window tells you when, where, what, and why — synthesized into one plan for your exact lake, species, and conditions. The bite-time number is one ingredient; the plan is the meal.

No — and we don't try to. Fishbrain shows you where fish were caught (a map and a feed). Bite Window tells you what to do today. Plenty of anglers run both; we're the advice layer, not the catch-map.

Every plan is built on real, cited conditions — the solunar windows, the front, the water temp, the wind — and it shows its reasoning right on the card. It's a guide's logic over real data, not a guess.

Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass are dialed in; walleye, crappie and trout are supported too. Any lake with public conditions data works — that's effectively everywhere in the U.S.

Yes — the plan just changes. Cold-water patterns, deeper and slower, are exactly where most anglers struggle, so it's some of the most useful advice you'll get. Southern and year-round anglers fish it all twelve months.

Nope. Tell it you're on the bank or a kayak and the plan adjusts to water you can actually reach.

Why we built this

Built by anglers, with r/bassfishing — not a catch-map company.

The hardest part of a fishing trip isn't the gear — it's reading the day. The front, the moon, the temp, the wind, the season. That information already exists in the open; it's just scattered across five apps and locked in the heads of people who fish a lake every week.

We deliberately don't build a catch-map — that's a decade-long data war and it's not the job anglers ask for most. The job they ask for, thousands of times a week on Reddit, is simple: “heading to this lake Saturday — what should I throw?” Bite Window is the answer to that question, written like a guide, grounded in the conditions.

We're a small team of bass nerds and engineers. Every plan is a starting point, like a guide's briefing — confident, but honest. Fishing's probabilistic; we'll never promise you a limit, just a much better Saturday.
